  3. Standards CA 13.0, 14.0, and 20.0: Solve challenging problems involving rational expressions; use factoring and the quadratic formula to solve equations. Goal(s): By the end of the lesson, students should be able to solve rational equations involving quadratic equations.

  4. Remembering Rational Equations Rational equations can be solved by multiplying both sides by the least common denominator. All solutions must be checked for extraneous solutions.
