  3. Our Topic of Discussion: Computerization of Land Records and Survey/resurvey of cadastral maps

  7. Mapping specification • Capture scale shall not fall outside the range of 1:1000 to 1:5000 • Cassini Projection are being followed. On Cassini Projection the North-South stretching of scale is not balanced by any East - West change of scale except for very small areas. • Datum shall be Everest Spheroid. • Units shall be Square meters. • Source shall be Digital Ortho-imagery (in ideal cases), that has a verified minimum horizontal accuracy of 10 meters or better, and a minimal pixel resolution of 1 meter.

  9. Edge Matching and Mosaicing

  10. Edge Matching Technique • With the Affine transformation ,using four points on each map cadastral map are pre-matched with road maps. • Sequential Auto-matching: There can be lot of boundary mismatches following the Affine transformation, so an alogirthm is followed for sequential auto matching. • Boundary Line based Automated Adjustment: This algorithm is developed for adjusting cadastral lines based on given boundary lines, the method has three parts:   • Searching the conflicted cadastral lines based on given boundary lines; • Moving the conflicted cadastral lines to given boundary lines; • Related cadastral line adjustment.

  11. Final Output with standard  symbology  (Alamatts )

  12. Geo-referencing on satellite Images

  13. Thematic Mapping

  14. Attributes of Land Records • Record of Rights: It contains the ownership details of each parcel, sub-divisions etc. • Crop details: These are updated thrice/twice in the States based on crop seasons and inspection reports giving details of crops sown, area, cultivators and yield details. • Pedigree table – This is pedigree sheet giving the details of family history, relationships with ownership details

  21. Creation of New Cadastral Map • The process of creating a cadastral system can be considered in two parts; • the legal or quasi-Iegal and • administration area which is responsible for adjudication of boundaries and rights in land and the creation of an efficient recording system for those rights in appropriate registers; and the technical area which includes cadastral surveying and mapping.

  22. Approach for Cadastral Mapping • There are two basic approaches which may be adopted for cadastral surveying and mapping; • ground survey techniques • combination of photogrammetric/Remote sensing and ground survey techniques. • Ground survey techniques are the basis of most cadastral survey systems. since photogrammetry has only been used for cadastral purposes in the last 30 years or so. • Ground survey techniques suit the sporadic isolated survey approach which is usually a component of land registration. conveyancing or alienation systems based mainly on the "user pays" principle. Such systems are usually the quickest to introduce, and the cheapest and the most expedient for Governments in the short-term.

  23. Survey of Cadastral Maps • Composition of Cadastral Maps using total station and real time Kinematic GPS survey. • GIS of Cadastral Maps • Azimuth Computation • Traverse Computation • Plotting of Cadastral Map in P-70 sheets from the Control Points derived from the Traverse Computations
