  1. Having Trouble with Pop Ups? • Any one of the following settings can affect a machine’s Pop Up features. • STEP ONE: • Make sure Pop Up Blocker is turned OFF • You should see “Turn ON pop up blocker” when you click on the Tools menu in IE. If you see “Turn OFF pop up blocker”, click on this to turn it off. • Turn off additional Pop Up Blockers included in any Google, Yahoo, or MSN toolbars.

  2. STEP TWO: • Automatic prompting is Enabled • IE…… Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Automatic prompting for file downloads > OK > OK

  3. STEP THREE: • File Download is Enabled • IE…… Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > File download > OK > OK

  4. STEP FOUR: • Download Notification is Checked • IE…… Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Notify when download complete > OK

  5. Having Trouble with Pop Ups? • STEP FIVE: • Add the Cognos 8 URL to the Trusted Sites • A User may need Administrator rights to their machine • IE…… Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites > Paste https://iwprod.princeton.edu into Sites > Add > OK > OK
