CLEO vs Game Warden 16 USC 670e-1, The SIKES Act, states “All Federal laws relating to the management of Natural Resources on Federal Lands” Historic and Cultural Laws are included in this act. 10 USC 2671, Hunting, Fishing, Trapping on a Military Installation, States “that an act or omission committed on the installation that would be punishable under State law be subject to like punishment.”

U.S. Army POC: Mr. Simon, IMCOM Central • CLEO training packet received from USAMPS • Final review in process • 80 hr. course designed to supplement basic LE training • Course contains 11 modules and 42 learning objectives • Small group discussions • Scenarios • Practical exercise • Evaluations • Delivery • Train the Trainer -v- annual training event • CLEO training event • Course will be taught by seasoned CLEO officers and representatives from AEC • Pilot course scheduled for 20-31 Aug 18 San Antonio TX • Seats for 24 Students • Pilot course will be used to validate the curriculum • No preregistration at this time • CLEO Staffing Manpower Proposal- up to 7 - 0083 CLEO positions depending on • installation (this is a manpower proposal only for review, will not effect authorizations) • 3.   4. U.S. Air Force POC: Mr Sledge, JBER 1. The USFWS has been funded to place at least 4 CLEOs at Air Force installations. Locations are not yet finalized. New CLEOs are being hired and trained now. They will start work sometime next fall. The USFWS does not see any significant jurisdiction issues. They say they can all be worked out with the States, and they do that already for wildlife refuges. • Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) credentials for USAF CLEOs is in the final stages prior to issuance.

U.S. Marine Corps POC: Inv Lissa Grimes Lissa.grimes@usmc.mil MCB Quantico Tracking 23 CLEOs and 5 Investigators 7 Unfilled positions (retention issues and Agency poaching out of FLETC) 2017 LMPT - 5 Officers graduated / 2018 - 1 graduated, 1 registered, 3 Installations waiting to hire. 2017 FITP - 1 Officer graduated / 2018 - 3 registered Marine Corp Order update still in review process New USMC Program LE credentials completed and ready for signature 2017 Annual required 40-hour training completed.
