  4. 3. Jesus • Jesus came as a ransom for souls (Matthew 20:28) • Jesus came out of the love of the Father (John 3:16) • Jesus came to conquer evil (1 John 3:8)

  5. 3. The Church • Like Israel, the church is God’s chosen people (1 Peter 2:9) • The church is to be carry out God’s mission (Matthew 28:20) • The church is invited to be co-workers in God’s mission (1 Corinthians 3:9)
