  1. Aponi’s Journal By Jessica Sue (Spring) http://www.cross-stitch-centre.co.uk/acatalog/l-35069a.jpg http://garcya.us/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/cool-background_001.jpg

  2. All About me !!!!! My name is Aponi; It means butterfly. I am part of the Algonquin tribe. My family and I live in the eastern woodlands. It is the Year 1853 This is my story:

  3. Journal Entry 1 The day is warm. We will not need to wear our cloaks today. I can feel the heat of the sun through the birch bark wigwam. I nearly forgot today is hunting day. The men will be able to go hunting and collect berries. I must get ready to sew when they get back with skins.I hastily throw on my dress. I don’t think that I have to were the sleeves today. I ask my mother to put my hair in a braid. I just pray today we don’t get into a war with the Iroquois tribe. http://ed101.bu.edu/StudentDoc/current/ED101fa10/hillaryw/Images/wigwam_outside.jpg

  4. Journal entry 1 Before I can leave the house I almost forgot I must pray for good things to happen and to both the one god and his spirits. Mother tells us that he created the earth. http://geology.com/articles/what-is-earth-science/earth-science.jpg

  5. Journal entry2 There are lots of rivers around my house. That is why it is easy for daddy to catch fish using his pronged spears. There are also plains for us to hike. There are mountains, forests, tundras, and streams. We even catch deer with our traps. We catch lots of things but we don’t do much farming. Sometimes I get to go out and collect berries and wild plants. When we aren't fighting with the Iroquois nation we trade with them.

  6. Journal Entry 2 We build canoes out of forest trees to travel around the rivers. I'm glad its not raining so I don’t have to wear my cloak. Native American cloak http://straighthandgraphics.com/images/paintings/chief_wolf_robe.jpg

  7. Journal entry 3 Mostly the weather is cold the weather in the spring is warmer. Lucky for me it is spring time. But in the winter when the weather is too cold for me I have to put the sleeves on my dress or I feel like a chicken in a freezer for70 days. I wish that spring was there. If it raining I have to wear my cloak. The climate is always different when I go to the mountain or the river.

  8. Reflection (from first person) All I know is that I am glad we have not had to see any white settlers. When they came they traded furs and jewels. All we had to do protect some of there people. But we ended up fighting a war for them. That is the only thought running though my head. “BANG” I can hear the door slam . Daddy must be back with the skins. Bye I must be going but we can talk later.

  9. Reflection (as myself) I found this project fun and entertaining especially when I was trying to figure out how to do a power point presentation. I found that it was frustrating to find a color that you can use on certain backgrounds. If I was a teacher and was grading this project I would give it at least an 97% because it took a lot of hard work and time. Overall this project rocked.
