Third Grade Assessments ACUITY *taken on the computer *predictor of how students will perform on ISTEP *given 3 times a year: A: 9/23-10/4, B; 11/25-12/10, C: 2/6-2/21 IREAD – Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination *tests foundational reading standards through 3rd grade *learn more at www.doe.in.gov/assessment/iread_resources.html *to ensure all students can read proficiently at the end of 3rd grade *students are required to pass to be promoted to 4thgrade *March 17-19 ISTEP *measures student achievement in Language Arts & Math *2 parts – Applied Skills (March 3-12) and Multiple Choice Online (April 28-May9)

Homework / Grading • Will be sent home on MONDAYS and needs to be signed and returned on the following MONDAY • Will be the same format every week • Focuses on spelling practice, reading & comprehension skills, math skills Grading Scale: A+ 100% C+ 82% A 93-99% C 75-81% A- 92% C- 74% B+ 91% D+ 73% B 84-90% D 66-72% B- 83% D- 65% F 0-64% *students’ grades recorded as number correct out of number possible *DT = means the paper was Done Together in class
