We have all grown to enjoy the greenest, sunniest areas of our house over the past several months. Having a little piece of flora and fauna in our homes, whether it be the window balcony or the piece of shrubs sprouting in our indoor gardens, makes our hearts so happy. We wanted to raise the bar and honour such houses for their awe of nature. From constructing enormous picture windows to bringing more of the outside scenery inside, to designing a house around a tree.

11 STUNNING HOMES BUILT IN NATURE
We have all grown to enjoy the greenest, sunniest areas of our house over the past several months. Having a little piece of flora and fauna in our homes, whether it be the window balcony or the piece of shrubs sprouting in our indoor gardens, makes our hearts so happy. We wanted to raise the bar and honour such houses for their awe of nature. From constructing enormous picture windows to bringing more of the outside scenery inside, to designing a house around a tree. Here are 11 stunning homes which are a tribute to nature -
APARNA KAUSHIK’S FARM HOUSE This farmhouse embraces a color palette influenced by the blues, greens, and sturdiness of nature. It is lush, green, and vibrant. What we adore about this house is the way Aparna Kaushik, the owner of the named design studio, structured the interior spaces to almost feel terrarium-like. The interiors of this home stare out into lush, blooming green areas via all of the enormous glass windows, and it is clear that nature is embraced in every single space.
MOUNTAIN HOUSE BY ANT STUDIO The architects of this house, Monish Siripurapu, Ashok Talwar, and P K Sharma of Ant Studio, constructed it high in the snow-covered highlands. It was designed and implemented to adapt to the rocky plateaus and steep slopes of Mukteshwar, Uttarakhand. Monish designed a home that gently clings to the mountain as it rises in structure, from the architecture to the interiors, to make it a part of the breathtaking surroundings. He was mostly worried about making sure this cottage didn't stand out. and as a result of his meticulous attention to detail in the building of this property, the mansion progressively grew into a lovely paradise as the altitude increased. We adore the cosy interiors and the striking facades for their unique structures.
HOUSE BUILT BY DIA ATELIER Although Mumbai's Dia Atelier is a relatively young design studio, its creator, Diksha Jiandani, has produced some incredible work. In order to ground the design environment of this residence, the architect uses a number of earth tones. Imagine a home that is created to best bring the outdoors in: think deep black, vibrant cerulean blue, delicate bougainvillaea pink. She has combined and embraced this unconventional idea. Diksha told us that she spent the most time creating the balcony because she wanted to get the scale and direction of the story just right. She centered the design of the interiors around the balcony after she was satisfied with how it had turned out. We adore its avant-garde style.
ARANYA FARMSTAY An excellent illustration of vernacular architecture with Indian influences is the Aaranya farm stay property in Gujarat. One of the most incredible celebrations of Mother Nature you will witness today is at this resort in Gujarat, which was inspired by the surrounding landscape. This resort's red-tiled, low-sweeping roof is a trademark of architect Himanshu Patel of the "d6thD" design firm, located in Ahemdabad. With the overt notion of vernacular architecture in mind, Himanshu's company is recognized for taking on projects where they can develop sustainable methods of living.
RESIDENCE BY DE- EARTH This 3,050 square foot home in Kerala is unique for its simplicity and was inspired by the rich wealth of the state. Founder and Partner of De Earth and architect Vivek PP integrates the outdoors right into the center of the living areas. We adore it for its unassuming architectural design, the grounded interiors, and the approachable aesthetic. This home's simplicity jumps out and is in tune with the natural surroundings because of its extremely restrained character.
RESIDENCE BY AKRUTI ARCHITECTS Four people may live in this Ahmedabad mansion, which is situated on a 47,700 square foot land. While the 18,500 square foot home itself is rather spacious, the landscape and bungalow were created to reflect a blend of modern and classic architectural elements. Unquestionably, this is one of the most breathtaking homes we've ever seen, but in our opinion, what makes it genuinely unique are the architectural features that bring nature right into the center of the house. Playing with scale, expanse, patterns, texture, and color is what Toyam and his collaborators have done, and the meticulous way in which they have done it draws attention to the beautiful, well-kept nature that surrounds this residence. It's a really clever design!
RESIDENCE BY RGP DESIGN STUDIO We are often perplexed by the idea that Rachana Maroli is fresh to the realm of Indian architecture. This young architect, who is located in Mangalore, has a strong background in local architecture and is continually modernizing it to make it elegant and trendy. She created a project in her hometown that is reminiscent of the traditional Guthu mane, a typical Mangalorean house. But in her own special way, she has boldly spoken about the fundamental components of this ancient framework.
HOME BY KAVAN SHAH Kavan's work is captivating because of the layers of distressed-inspired design elements and old patina he enjoys including. The unique manner in which Kavan praises nature across all of his work is another, and perhaps more important, aspect of what makes his work compelling. This home, which is 1,200 square feet in size, is a celebration of simple living that is motivated by nature. The simple architecture of this house, which is situated on Kihim Beach in Alibaug, honors nature in one of the most creative ways we've ever seen!
HOME BY KARISHMA BAJAJ The house where Karishma Bajaj lives in is an old Portuguese building that has been meticulously restored. She can see peacocks and occasionally wild boars from her house. She falls asleep while listening to this lullaby and awakes to the distant sounds of the sea's crashing waves. Karishma takes great pride in her traditional Goan house, complete with sloping red tiles, red mud porch benches, and old-fashioned steps leading up to the door. These cherished traditional design components are treasured by Karishma.
HOME BY PTA DESIGNS This Bhopal home by designer Priti Tatiya is constructed around a mango tree and has one of the most beautiful sky windows we've ever seen. It is dressed to mirror the rich traditional arts of India. Priti's passionate love for nature inspired the design of a house that best embraces the outdoors and all things natural. This designer's expertise of design and enthusiasm for nature have found common ground in this home, which includes texture, materials, color scheme, and setting. We adore the size, the color vibrancy, and how calming everything is. And this house genuinely encapsulates everything we like about indoor- outdoor living spaces.
HOME BY KUMAR MOORTHY AND ASSOCIATES This house is a reflection of the owners' Keralan cultural heritage, brought to Delhi's tropical climate, and their commitment to sustainable living. One's first exposure to the home's connection to nature is a water feature at the entry and lush foliage all around. A tangle of interconnecting courtyards, broad verandahs, pitched tiled roofs, and double-height rooms maximize cross-ventilation and reduce the need for air conditioning. The building materials used in the home, which are primarily acquired locally, range from bricks and lumber to Cudappah stone. It was planned to use standard roof tiles in the anticipation that low-cost solar tiles will eventually replace them.
