Earlier Detection Of PCOS For Fertility Preservation Polycystic ovarian syndrome is basically a hormone disorder which is the most common problem which come among women of reproductive age, women with polycystic ovarian syndrome have problems like infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods in polycystic ovarian syndrome there might be excess male hormones level that is the androgen. This condition there might be development of numerous small collection of fluids(follicles) in the ovaries that fail to release the eggs regularly. Women who are suffering from PCOS tends to produce higher amount of male hormones (androgen) then normal, these hormones causes imbalance of the body that leads to skipped menstrual periods and make the women harder to get pregnant. Due to this extra growth of the harmons it also causes hair growth on the face and the body, this also may lead to contribute in long-term health problems like diabetes and heart disease.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a syndrome or group of symptoms that affects the ovulation process in the ovaries the three main features of the syndrome are -  • Cyst in ovaries • Increased level of male hormones • Irregular or skipped periods Symptoms of PCOS:-  Most common sign and symptoms of PCOS are:- • Longer menstrual periods than normal. • Infertility (most commonly due to regular ovulation). • Heavy bleeding. • Pimples or acne. • Oily skin • Excess weight gain. • Excessive hair growth (facial and body hairs). • Darkening of skin. • Headache. • cyst on ovaries

Examples of fertility preservation procedures include sperm banking, egg freezing, certain types of surgery for cervical and ovarian cancer, and in vitro fertilization with embryo freezing.   7. Blood tests - Common blood test will be done to analyze and to measure hormone levels. This testing will help to exclude possible causes of menstrual abnormalities or androgen exces. There will be an additional blood testing to measure glucose tolerance and fasting cholesterol and triglyceride levels. • An ultrasound - The doctor first checks the appearance of the ovaries and also checks the thickness of the lining of the uterus. A wandlike device (transducer) is placed in patients vagina (transvaginal ultrasound). The transducer emits sound waves that are translated into images on a computer screen.
