  3. Geologic History • The Earth has been around for over 4.5 BILLION years! • Geologic Eras SONG • If you think about Earth’s history thus far as ONE calendar year, the dinosaurs went extinct on Christmas Eve, and humans started roaming the earth at 8:30 P.M. on New Year’s Eve.
