  2. Statewide Summary Totals • 2009 Total Accidents = 16,988 • 2008 Total Accidents = 15,908 • Increase of 6.8% • 2009 Total PDO Accidents = 12,779 • 2008 Total PDO Accidents = 11,691 • Increase of 9.3%

  3. Statewide Summary Totals • 2009 Total Property Damage = $81.9 mil • 2008 Total Property Damage = $77.3 mil

  4. Statewide Summary Totals • 2009 Injury Accidents = 4,097 • 2008 Injury Accidents = 4,108 • Slight decrease • 2009 Number of Injured = 5,700 • 2008 Number of Injured = 5,709 • Slight decrease

  5. Statewide Summary Totals • 2009 Fatal Accidents = 112 • 2008 Fatal Accidents = 109 • Increase of 2.8% • 2009 Crash Fatalities = 131 • 2008 Crash Fatalities = 121 • Increase of 8.3%

  6. Speed Related Crashes • 2009 Speed related crashes = 2,236 • 2008 Speed related crashes = 1,951 • Increase of 14.6% • 2009 Injury crashes = 713 • 2008 Injury crashes = 612 • Increase of 16.5%
