  2. ABOUT US Daily life at Heronswood is relaxed and informal; residents are encouraged to set their own agendas for the day and to be supported by the staff where necessary. At Heronswood we actively recognize the importance of people maintaining their interests and hobbies so have an activities coordinator to keep the residents entertained. The gardens are extensive with many fruit trees and a beautiful place to sit in the good weather. Heronswood is actively part of the local community with regular visits from the Vicar and local residents alike. Residents are encouraged to bring in their own personal belonging to personalise their rooms.Residents and their families come to choose a room if able and then come on a one month trial to give them the opportunity to see if they settle in. Heronswood

  3. Heronswood provides personal care to elderly people, of both sexes, over the age of 65 years. We foster an atmosphere of care and support which both enables and encourages our residents to live a full, interesting and independent lifestyle. Residents are encouraged to bring in their own personal belongings to personalise their rooms. "Thank you so much, my mother loves living here and walking in the tranquil garden and having her own little flower patch." Heronswood About Us…

  4. Every individual resident at Heronswood will receive holistic nursing and social care appropriate to their needs, which will be delivered in a respectful manner with privacy and dignity maintained. Residents are encouraged to join in the daily activities the home provides which are changed on a monthly basis and can be viewed on the residents notice board located outside the dining room. The activities are designed with choice, fulfilment and movement in mind. The home also holds a summer barbeque every year which all residents, family and staff are welcome to attend. Heronswood
