  1. Falls Church Dryer Vent CleaningTeam Falls Church Dryer Vent CleaningTeam The Framework of a Clothing dryer Fire Stop a clothes dryer fire with professional dryer duct cleaning and dryer maintenance service Lots of people are conscientious about getting their heating system cleaned, however, very few folks consider the clothes dryer relative to fire protection. Lots of dryer fires develop annually, causing casualties, impairments, building devastation and home loss. In addition to being a fire danger, poor dryer venting also presents a carbon monoxide problem. These hazards can be avoided with carefully installed and maintained dryer venting. A clothing dryer fire occurs when lint builds up reducing airflow which then results in overheating. The heat and the ignitable lint are the primary components for a dryer fire. Clothing dryers manufacture a huge amount of lint and simply cleaning the lint screen is not enough. The lint screen captures a lot of lint however some goes into the inside of the clothes dryer, perilously around the burner. The most reliable solution to ensure your dryer vent equipment is risk-free is to have it expertly evaluated and cleaned at least once a year. Yet another issue is the distance of the duct; the shorter, the more ideal. Years ago most clothes dryers were in the basement, on an outdoor wall, with a rather short, straight vent to the outside. Today many newer residences may have their laundry area located far from an outside wall, with some being on the second floor. This means dryer vent lines are a lot longer and involve some turns in which lint can amass. They are also difficult to access and thus a greater challenge to keep cleaned. The ideal dryer vent system is short and straight. The pieces need to also be joined together to make the interior smooth and devoid of screws or rivets which lint could get caught on. It is very important that the venting be constructed from stiff material, not the flexible, foil style tube that crumbles quite easily, limiting air movement. Admit suitable gap between the dryer and the wall. A error people routinely make is shoving the dryer too close to the wall, compressing the ducting and developing an air flow obstacle right off the bat. Here is one last pointer that few people know of. The dryer vent screen should be cleaned thoroughly with hot soapy water every few months to clear away residue build up produced by softener sheets. It is indeed conceivable for the lint filter to have so much accumulation on it that it will hold water! This clearly prohibits air flow and causes the dryer to take more than one cycle to properly dry a load of laundry. This information was posted by The Dryer Vent Wizard, who wants all consumers to be knowledgeable about how unstable their seemingly innocent clothes dryer could be. The Wizard presents more fire prevention tips and basic, preventative measures for protecting against a dryer fire at https://www.dryerventwizard.com/.
