  2. FUN! • Let’s face it, the internet is full of fun • Games, shopping, friends, funny pictures and video clips, memes and memories…the internet has it all • If you are safe and smart, the internet can be a vast playground…and a GREAT place to learn

  3. Finding a Job! • Many sites allow you to post your resume online • Make a blog that advertises yourself • Use sites to search for jobs in your area or around the world • Careerbuilder.com • Monster.com • Teachers-teachers.com

  4. Social Network • The internet can help us stay in contact with people like never before over long distances with instant communication • Skype • Facebook • Twitter • Gaming networks • This is great for staying in touch with friends and family, especially during and after moving up and moving away! • It’s also great for instant communication across the room, unless you’re at school!

  5. Business Network • Many businessmen will tell you that one of the most important things to get and maintain is a NETWORK • Network: group of friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and your cousin’s neighbor that you met one time but that seemed interested in your great business idea • Job trainers are promoting this more and more now • The same social networking tools that we use now can be used to maintain a business network • A master of this can raise support for a project very quickly by tapping into his/her network

  6. An Oscar Party • Hosted by my friend Seth… his Senior year in high school • All products that you see were donated • All people that are working were working for free • All of this was made possible by Seth’s network, which he continues to maintain to run The Thirst Project
