EAME Chapter • Activity in 2005: • The year has seen fair weather for our industry - commitment to IAGC principles remains, though participation suffers somewhat.... • Published combined timeshare guideline documents for streamer/OBC and permanent installations • Focus on Data Licensing issues • UK • Norway • Proposal to establish marine market rate statistics for general publication • Supported STEP Change in Safety Initiative throughout the year • Support to other initiatives sponsored by IAGC
EAME Chapter - Outlook for 2006 • Objectives • Promotion and education on Statements of Principle both internally and externally • Champion marine mammals/environmental impact awareness and education within EAME regions • Progress in organising and coordinating IAGC membership on relevant OGP • committees • Establish credible publicly available information on marine seismic rate fluctuations through IAGC • Resolve issue around data ownership and release in Norway • In general retain a robust stance towards any initiatives to limit ownership and trading rights to contractor library data • Expected Actions • Agree and implement information flow from relevant OGP committee activity with limited actual participation • Representation to authorities in Norway to remove requirements for courtesy data and control physical release of data • Establish protocol within IAGC and assign third party to collate and publish market rate data • Continued active support for Global Step Change in Safety Initiative, also with the anticipated inclusion of onshore operations within the EAME region
