  1. (L) Initial Observations: Calcium Chloride (CaCl2): Baking Soda (NaHCO3): Phenol Red Solution: Observations During and After Reaction: Claim: Mixing NaHCO3, CaCl2, and Phenol Red produces a chemical reaction. Evidence:(2 – 5 sentences) • (R) • Purpose: • To observe chemicals before, during, and after a chemical reaction. • Procedures: • Make your initial observations. • Put 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda (NaHCO3) into a Ziplock bag. • Put 2 teaspoons of Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) into the same bag. • Measure 10 ml of Phenol Red solution and place graduated cylinder into bag (do NOT spill the liquid). • Seal bag (carefully squeeze out some of the air). • Tip the graduated cylinder of Phenol Red solution and make observations. • Follow Clean-up Procedures. • Finish the Left side. • Signs of a Chemical Reaction: • Jobs: • Team Leader:
