  1. Ben Stokes Not Happy Missing The Hundred England all-rounder Ben Stokes has acknowledged that it would be 'devastating' and 'frustrating' for English Test cricketers if they failed to take part in The Hundred in order to keep them safe from COVID-19 for the upcoming five-match Test series against India as well. After that, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) might want to keep their players safe ahead of the India series that starts in August. Ben Stokes, who understands how important the series and players health is, said to the Daily Mail: "It would be very frustrating to not be able to participate in The Hundred. It's a massive event for England and we want to be part of it. We know how big a role players play in making a franchise competition big, and if the Test players were unable to play in it because of Covid, that would be pretty devastating."

  2. Ben Stokes is all set to play for the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred, starting on July 22. Meanwhile, England have recently played a three-match ODI series against Pakistan where they managed to win the series as well. However, England has played with a fresh team, leading by Stokes after several players and support staff got affected by the COVID-19 just two days before the start of the series and the ECB had to put all of them into isolation as well. But it would be a lie to say I wasn't surprised how easily we have done it."

  3. While England won the first ODI by nine wickets and 169 balls to spare, they emerged victorious by 52 runs in the second as well. They won the third and final ODI by 3 wickets at Edgbaston also.
