Ambassade Hotel @ Amsterdam, Netherlands

Wow! It’s been a month since my recent post. We’ve been too busy with our wedding reception preparation. I apologize for that, but now I’m back!! Sometime in January, we took a little break from the wedding planning (it was close to a year) and headed to Amsterdam for a pre-wedding vacation, or what some refer to now as “weddingmoon / early-moon”. Come on, we totally deserved it! Things got a little tense when it got closer to date, so a short getaway was no doubt, a great idea. After all, it lets us remember all the reasons why we wanted to get married in the first place.

  3. AMBASSADE HOTEL @ AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS Amsterdam was one of our most favourite city we visited together as a couple. I know it’s famous for its red light district and “coffeeshops”. But forget all that if that’s not your thing, there’s plenty more to see and do in this picturesque city. During this trip, we stayed in the stylish Ambassade Hotel, located in the canal district. A much more quiet part of the city. Just slightly off the bustle of its tourist crowd but really, it’s only less than 5 minutes walk to the centre. All the staff was courteous, professional and had superb hospitality. Everyone wore genuine smiles and always eager to help, that made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The décor of Ambassade Hotel was also quirky and fun. If there’s one thing they have plenty of, it’s got to be their (CoBrA) art collection. Literally pieces of them in almost every corner, right through the walkway to our room. Do expect the hotel to be a little bit narrow since it’s an old building. However, it’s very well maintained, elegant and comfortable. There’s an elevator to travel between floors in case you’re wondering. WWW.MISSGETABOUT.COM
