  2. Experiments show: V α I • the constant that creates an equality = resistance, R  V = I R • Ohm’s “Law” R = V / I  unit: V/A = ohm, Ω

  3. Not all materials are linear between voltage & current = nonohmic • Since it does not apply to all ≠ a law
