Budget Passage • October 8, 2010 (100th day after constitutional deadline) • Closes a $19.6-billion gap • Provides $86.9 billion in spending BUT… • Relies on: • optimistic federal reimbursement rates • revenue projections • heavy reductions in education and the wages and pensions paid to CA’s workforce
