  3. Five Second-Coming Parables • The fact of Jesus’ coming • The unexpectedness of Jesus’ coming: like a thief (1 Thess. 5:2,4; 2 Pet. 3:10; Rev. 3:3; 16:15) • The preparation for Jesus’ coming: watching, ready, and blessed

  4. 1. The Door Keeper • Luke 12:35-40 • The door keeper, or watchman, is ready to open the door for his master • Will you open the door when Jesus comes again (2 Cor. 7:2; Rev. 3:20)?

  5. 2. The Steward • Luke 12:41-48 (Matthew 24:45-51) • The servant used his master’s delay to engage in evil deeds towards others and self • Will you be living ungodly when Jesus comes again (1 Cor. 1:8; Phil. 1:6, 10; 1 Thess. 3:13; 5:2, 5, 8, 23; 1 Tim. 6:14; 2 Pet. 3:14)?
