The Problem fax fax fax The leader companies: are moving the production to regions with low labour costs are asking from the suppliers timely and reliable information about the deliveries The small companies of the district (supplier and subcontractor) are unable to meet these demands because: leader Company supplier Company They lack logistics organization (internal and external) Don’t have IT tools for enabling fast and reliable the processes (especially the planning system) subcontractor Company subcontractor Company These are important reasons because: The leader companies seek alternative suppliers The companies in the district are forced to close or reduce their turnover, generating, in any case, employment problems
