Multi- Level Training • Village community volunteers and coordinators • Parents of the c/ywds as they actively participate in the home- based rehabilitation sessions • C/y with disability based on their disability • Teachers and school principals/ administrators
Multi- Level Training • Peer counsellors and trainers • Non- disabled students as child advocates • Officers of government line agencies • Village leaders • Police Officers, Court staff
Advocacy and Educating the community Passage of local laws and ordinances e.g. opening of SPED classes, accessibility Health benefits for c/ywds Increase in the budget of LGUs for the disabled sector Creation of P/MCDAs
Community Organizing Parent Core groups “AKAPIN” the organization of parents into a legal entity
662 trained volunteers who serve as case finders and monitor the progress of the children
