Overview • Updated information on Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) • Limited staff, streamline the process, provide reliable operations and consistency Divisionwide • All new installations are being completed by the contracted vendors (AVI & CLS) • Only all-in-one IWBs will be purchased from this point forward

  3. “The Way We Were” • Early on, new installations were done by Facilities and contracted vendors • Multiple configurations were used: • Cart and ceiling mounted projectors in conjunction with wall mounted interactive whiteboard • All-in-one units • Retro-fit-kits • Maintenance and repairs were performed by Facilities

  4. Moving Forward: Installations • New Installations by vendors only • Except in special cases, no ceiling mounted projectors • All-in-one solution with speakers • IWBs installed as close to center of teaching wall as possible with connections to the teacher’s desk Note: Locations for IWBs and teacher workstations to be reviewed

  5. Moving Forward: NewPurchases • All-in-one solutions • No ceiling mounted projectors • Existing projectors can be used on carts • No retro-fit-kits if the purchase including installation exceeds 50% of a new IWB

  6. Moving Forward: Maintenance • New IWBs include 3-year maintenance • Retro-fit-kits by contract vendor, when less than 50% of value of a new IWB • School purchased bulbs will be replaced by Facilities • Preventive maintenance, such as filter cleaning by site-based personnel • Software updates by ITS2
