  3. TYPE • Civilizations are ranked on how much energy is consumed? • What is a Type 1 Civilization • What is a Type 2 Civilization • What is a Type 3 Civilization • Which type are we now?

  4. TYPE 1 • Right now we are a type 0,but we are on the road to a type 1 • Planetary • Uses only the sun that hits our planet instead of the sun that hits the other planets.

  5. Type 2 • Stellar • Uses all of the suns energy, instead of just the bit that is on our planet • Being used to power our energy

  6. Type 3 • Galactic • Uses energy from billions of stars • Empire controls Universe

  7. Debate • Should we have a world wide government, or should we not • In the far future, what are humans going to be like? • Will we be hierarchy? • Will there be government?

  8. WHEN TO USE SINGLE OR DOUBLE QUOTATIONS • WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU ARE QUOTING SOMETHING, BUT PART OF THAT QUOTE IS ANOTHER QUOTE? • YOU DO NOT USE DOUBLE QUOTATIONS WITHIN A SET OF DOUBLE QUOTATIONS • YOU MAY USE SINGLE QUOTES WITHIN DOUBLES QUOTES, AND VISE VERSA

QUOTATION EXAMPLES • ALBUS ASKED: “ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO SEEBRING IT ON: ALL OR NOTHING?” • THE ARTICLE STATED: “A GIANT SQUID MAY HAVE ATTACKED THE ‘MARIE CELESTE’ AS THE CREW CELEBRATED ON THE DECK.” • THE CAPTAIN STOOD UP AND DECLARED: “TOMORROW MORNING THE “SEXY SAILOR” WILL SET SAIL WITH HER FULL CREW.” • HOMER SIMPSON SAID: “MAYBE, JUST ONCE, SOMEONE WILL CALL ME ‘SIR’ WITHOUT ADDING ‘YOU’RE MAKING A SCENE’.”
