Our Client’s Role 3rd party quality control ensures a superior product Bids for contracts with the components manufacturers that supply General Motors Provide the production plant with routine check-ups on production quality on individual components Manually sort quality parts from inferior parts when an issue arises

Database Goals • Streamline workflow to increase efficiency and accountability • Decrease errors due to lost or damaged data • Improve public relations to maintain current clients and to attract new ones • Manage billing and accounts receivable • Keep track of employee information • Monitor individual vendor’s performance

  11. Design Issues Lacks a user interface due to the use of PostgreSQL rather than Access Does not print reports in the way that Access does Lacks security features No marketability Not designed for international business use

Proposed Upgrades Feature to generate weekly reports for ease of use during vendor meetings Feature to print invoices Mobile apps for on the job ease of use Additional levels of detail for part flaws (for discussion in vendor meetings) and information about changing GM flaw specs Install payroll to increase ease of use when paying employees/recording tax info and expenses
