Impact on Teachers“What We Know” • There is little research on the effects of CRE on teachers • The main incentive for teachers to learn CR is the assumption that CR will reduce classroom discipline problems • While we assume that training teachers how to train/teach students CRE improves the teachers’ use of CRE this is not proven

  2. Implications for Practice • Educators should receive significant CRE training before teaching CRE to students • Educators should receive ongoing training and support for their CRE efforts • Linking CRE training for educators to certification standards is a viable option (e..g., Fairfax, VA experience)
