  2. Who invented cardboard? • Robert Gair invented cardboard in 1890. • Later on Kellogg company started using cardboard boxes to put their cereal in.

  3. What is it? • A material similar to thick, stiff paper, that is made of pressed paper pulp or pasted sheets of paper.

  4. What is it made of? • It is made out of a material made of paper pulp, but thicker and stiffer than paper.

  5. What it’s used for. • The main use for cardboard is to box things up and put them in storage.

  6. The cardboard box • It helps you organize your stuff and makes less clutter.

  7. Can it be recycled • Cardboard can be recycled along with paper and is remade into many different kinds of paper products.

  8. Why recycle cardboard? • When cardboard breaks down in landfill it creates methane, a major greenhouse gas with the global warming capacity 21 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.
