  2. TARGIS The New CEROMER MaterialCeramic optimized polymer GHIL

  3. What is the Targis? • Light activated veneering material made of Ceromers • Ceramics ( esthetics ) + Resins (Flexual strength) • Unmatched Ceromer material • 75-85 weight % of Inorganic filler • Ceramic particle • Organic matrix GHIL

  4. Indications (Targis) • Metal-free bridges with Vectris fmwk • Metal-free single posterior crowns with Vectris fmwk • Metal-reinforced crown, bridge, and implant veneers • Metal-free anterior crowns • Metal-free inlays, onlays, veneers • Metal-reinforced combination dentures GHIL

  5. Contraindications • Metal-free bridges with more than one pontic between two abutment teeth • Allergic patient GHIL

  6. Side effects • Hypersensitivity on skin - uncured Targis material • Avoid eye contact GHIL

  7. General Steps • Shade selection • Preparation of Model • Sealing of die: Die hardener/Separating varnish • Drying is important • Check tolerance with separator GHIL

  8. Isolation • Two coat - 3 min dry on each coat • Check the sharp edge area - thin coat GHIL

  9. Metal-reinforced crown, bridge, and implant veneers • Alloys - Corrosion resistant alloys • Copper and/or silver content: < 50% • Gold, platinum content: < 90% • High gold alloys containing more than 90% gold, platinum must only be used in combination with retentive elements GHIL

  10. Design and fabrication of frameworks • without mechanical retention • without metal backing • finish with tungsten carbide burs • blast with aluminum oxide • clean with oil free compressed air • minimum thickness: 1.5 mm • avoid premature contact GHIL

  11. Targis Link • apply with brush • wait for 1 minute GHIL

  12. Targis Opaquer • Precure with Targis Quick for 20 seconds • Apply second masking layer • Cure with Targis Power P2 • Remove the inhibited layer with disposable sponge • Place the fmwk above the 2mm from the bottom GHIL

  13. Procedure for shoulder veneers • Mask with Targis Base and cure for 20 sec • Targis Quick initial curing • Remove inhibited layer with sponge • Do not remove the crown from the die GHIL

  14. Modelling and Layering • Targis Dentin - maximum layer is 2mm • Precure for 10 sec with Targis Quick • Do not mix • Pat the material • Use Modelling liquid • Targis Transparant and Incisal • 2mm, 10 sec GHIL

  15. Characterization • Targis Stain, Impulse, Gingiva GHIL

  16. Curing with Targis power • Coat with Targis Gel • Curing P1 for 25 minutes • Wash • Finish with carbide tungsten, diamonds or finishers GHIL

  17. Polishing • pumice and goat’s hair brush • low rpm • lot of water • no pressure • Tungsten carbide is excellent for prepolishing • Avoid instrument contamination • Polish with pink hybrid polishers at 5000-8000 rpm without pressure GHIL

  18. Adjustment of shape • Finish with tungsten carbide or diamonds bur • Blast with 100 micrometer/Max. 2 bar • Clean and dry • Apply Targis Wetting agent • Wait for 60sec • Dry with oil-free compressed air • Targis Dentin, Incisal - 10 sec with Targis Quick • Targis Gel GHIL

  19. Curing with Targis Power • P1 for 25 minutes • Wash and polish GHIL

  20. Metal free single anterior crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers • Application for Basic shade with Targis Base • Precure 20 sec for with Targis Quick • Remove inhibited layer with sponge • Do not remove Targis Base from the die • Remove the restoration while it is still warm GHIL

  21. Life Like Esthetics • Translucency • Fluorescence • High Flexual strength • Enamel-like Abrasion GHIL

  22. VECTRIS The New FRC Material Fibre-reinforced composite GHIL

  23. What is Vectris? Light activated, translucent, tooth colored fmwk made from a fibre-reinforced material GHIL

  24. Indication • Metal-free bridges with Vectris fmwk • Metal-free single posterior crowns with Vectris fmwk GHIL

  25. Contraindication • Metal-free bridges with more than one pontic between two abutment teeth • Allergic patient GHIL

  26. Advanced Framework Material - Fibre-reinforced Vectris material - Metal-free, translucent frameworks GHIL

  27. Proven fibre-reinforced technology • Composed of several layers of fibre wafers • Uniaxially oriented fibre bundles • Organic polymer matrix • Excellent elasticity and distribution of strain GHIL

  28. Outstanding translucency • Metal-free, translucent Vectris • High Flexual strength GHIL

  29. 1. Modelling • Wax up a simple beam-like pontic on the model • 3mm wax wire diameter • Check the interdental space 2. Fabricate a silicone key and remove the wax • Remove the remaining segment • Make the silicone key • Leave the occlusal area open • Remove the wax • Apply 2 more coat of Targis Model Separator • Vectris Glue apply GHIL

  30. 3. Framework fabrication • Place a Vectris Pontic in the occlusal opening of the silicone key, according to the situation • Second pontic rope • Adjust the level; Highest point of Model=Below the level of container • Fill the pellets up to maximum 1 cm below the preparation margin • Place the transparent foil flat on the bridge • A process combining vacuum, pressure, and light in the state-of-art Vectris VS 1 produces highly accurate, bubble-free frameworks - P1 for 9 minutes GHIL

  31. 3. Finishing • Finish Vectris Pontic with tungsten carbide bur • Blast with aluminum oxide 1 bar pressure • Steam clean • Pontic dimension: Diameter: 2mm Occlusal stop: 0.3 mm • Apply Vectris Wetting agent • Wait for 60 sec and blow of the excess GHIL

  32. Trim the silicone key to expose the preparation margin • Make the silicone key convex. • 4/5 of the crown length must be exposed. • Apply 2 more coat of separator • Replace it on the model GHIL

  33. 4. Timming of Vectris Frames • Trim the Frames • Small cuts for optimum adaptation • Apply Vectris Glue • Adjust level • Optimum adaptation and curing is achieved with the fully automatic Vetrix VS 1 franework former GHIL

  34. 5. Bridge Framework • The finished framework made of Vectris Pontic and Bectris Frame is ready for the esthetic Targis veneer • Remove cervical excess up to 2/3 of the crown length • Blast with aluminum oxide at 1 bar • Steam clean GHIL
