This project explores the experiences of female organic farmers in Southold through interviews that illuminate their motivations and visions for sustainable agriculture. Key themes include escaping corporate America, reconnecting with the earth, and the unique bond among women in farming. By integrating qualitative research and interviewing skills, this work provides a deeper understanding of organic farming as a means to address economic challenges and promote environmental friendliness. My research journey involved ten interviews, extensive drafts, and significant personal growth as an interviewer and researcher.
