Norms • Group Norms: • Participants will: • Keep cell phones on vibrate, • Follow through with information or assigned tasks, • Show up prepared to participate, • Respect each other’s opinions, • Allow meeting to begin on time and end on time, • Address universal concerns corporately and individual concerns on the side, • Operate in an open, honest and safe environment.

  9. Results from Coordinator’s Meeting • Trained all teachers on how to administer district GATE test • Cal State Fullerton- Online GATE Certification Program • New- Coordinator’s Guide (Draft)

  10. Counselor Update • Counselor’s have lists of students who are GATE • Counselor’s currently provide- • Yearly Graduation Plans • Transcript Reading • My College Options

  11. Counselor’s Question • What do parents believe their students need in addition to what is being provided to students?

  12. Maneuvering Students through YCJUSD • Physical records are carried and hand delivered from site to site. • Electronic records have all been updated and uniformly processed in our data management system as of 2-24-09. • Data Director records are available as of 2-25-09 to monitor GATE students.

  13. Middle School Honor’s Update • 2009-2010 – New classes for 8th grade will include 8th Honors Algebra and 8th grade English Honors • Meeting will be held this February with all secondary principal’s to explore the option of offering Algebra to 7th graders, obstacles, impact, etc.

  14. Upcoming Events/Discussion • College Planning Night Thursday, Feb. 26 @ 6:00 in the YHS MPR.
