Mise En Scene • The surroundings are all destroyed at the start of the video, the school looks as it has been attacked • Lights slowly flash above the boy's head suggesting danger. • All colours in the video are muted and dull. • The boys house looks as if he does not have parents or like it has been abandoned making us empathise with the boy which is what the director wants us to do. • Ending the video we see the boy in a forest alone, showing that he isolated and alone, having to hide.
Camera work • When the boy is walking through the corridor the camera angles switch constantly and almost circle him perhaps foreshadowing what may come. • When he cycle's we see an extreme close-up of his face that displays his anger. • Close up shot of the shadow with a gun in hands creates a sense of suspense for the watcherswho are made to be on the boy's side through the way the narrative has been presented. • As he runs throughthe forest trying to escape the police, the angles and shots are erratic and all over the place intensifying the frantic boy trying to escape.
Editing • At the beginning we see a montage of the damage at the school, displaying the extremity of the damage that has been caused, important to the narrative as we soon find out he did the damage. • As the boy cycles home from the school he has clearly been edited to appear as if he is cycling at a supernatural pace as seen in the photo he is going so fast that the background is blurred. • Later on in the video editing is used to create the effect that inanimate objects are floating by themselves. Further clarifying to the audience that the boy has powers
