  2. What is Magnetism Magnetism is a force that is kinetic and potential. By being potential it can be a magnet. Magnets have the ability to attract iron, nickel, cobalt, or certain specific other kinds of metal. By being kinetic it can attract to the south and north poles. The opposite poles of a magnet attract and the same repel each other.
