International Service UGANDA - Budaka District • Indigo “Orphans & Vulnerable Children” project Supporting health, education and community development • In partnership with Indigo Foundation (per Ian Seal) & Rotary Club of Muyenga. • Sister schools relationships (per Ian Seal & Jill Ramsay)Glen Katherine P.S.- Katira P.S.Eltham North P.S. – Bwibere P.S. • Communications delays, Matching Grant difficulty“Global Grant” proposal being developed $30,000 USD • 8 - 10 Springwater Protection Structures160 Desks plus Soccer, Volleyball and Netball goals

International Service EAST TIMOR RAWCS Volunteers • Communications delays with Dili • Developing a RAWCS project for renovations / refurbishment of orphanage in Dili (Ian Toohill, Gary Reid in July) • E.T. theme Fundraising Night mid August • Volunteer participation in RAWCS project in Sept-Oct • Team building for Eltham Rotarians & Rotaractors

International Service MIZORAM Vocational Study Tour • Sponsor & host young professional to visit Melbourne for 3 weeks study tour • In partnership with Rotary Club of Aizawl • Dental graduate Dr Harshita Khaitan • 29 October – 20 November 2011 • Program being developed (with Dr Snell) • Home hosting offers by Eltham Rotarians?

International Service FUNDRAISING • Theme nights (food, music and dancing) to raise funds for the projects and to encourage cross-cultural understanding • East Timor Night – Mid August • Bollywood Night – 22 October • African Night - ?? (current Indigo Foundation photo exhibition & sale at Swipers Gully )

  10. The 2010 -2011International Service Activity has effectively become the planning phase for projects to be implemented in first half of2011 – 2012 !
