  7. Geospatial Report Card Create a report card of the geospatial infrastructure similar to the ASCE Infrastructure Report Card • Working on finalizing the panel of experts • First Step will be creating evaluation criteria • Focus on National infrastructure, not Federal

Geospatial Subcommittee Encourage Congress to establish a subcommittee concerned with oversight of geospatial technologies • COGO made a request to the 111th & 112th Congress • No action by Congress • Might be potential interest from the Energy and Minerals Subcommittee • Senate HS committee expressed interest and is asking the GAO to do a report on the OMB A-16 document

  9. FTC Privacy Report • Legislation introduced; asks the FTC to define ‘precise geolocation data’ • Organizations are struggling to define. • Privacy vs. anonymity • COGO is asking NGAC to help Request FGDC work with COGO (and others) to formally define what ‘precise geolocation data’ is

  10. Biting Around the Edges • Lightsquared/GPS issue • Legislation making pointing a laser at a pilot or airplane it a criminal offense. • LIDAR issue • Comments on geospatial certification (GISCI)
