  10. Since last year • 29 Web Archives (more on the way!) • 20 Institutions • 68 Curators • 5.5 TB of data • 1.2 TB from Jan 07 – Oct 08 (22 months) • 4.3 TB from Nov 08 – April 09 (6 months) Production

  13. Web Archiving Service Fees CDL will begin charging for Web Archiving Service activity beginning July 1, 2009 Not a flat rate – charges are based on actual usage Basic cost is $1,500 per terabyte Does not include replicated content

  14. For UC Campuses 1st Terabyte of storage is free 1st year of activity at 50% of cost 2nd year of activity at 75% of cost 3rd year at $1500 / TB (– 1 TB)

  15. Example: UC Campus Library • Go into July 1 2009 with 622 GB in WAS • Collect another 675 GB in fiscal year 2009/2010 • June 30 2010: 1.26 TB • Charged for .26 TB at 50%: $195.00 • Collect 930 GB in 2010-2011 • 1.16 TB chargeable storage (2.16 of data) • at 75% = $1305.00
