  2. Introduction • Chapter twenty-four and twenty-five have offered the following list of teachings: • The destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem • The siege and fall of Jerusalem • The end of the age • The end of individual and personal life • The final judgment for all nations

  3. Cultural Points to Explain the Symbolism • Sheep and Goats • Visiting and bringing food to prisoners • “Everlasting Torment” – (regret for doing evil)

  4. For Us Today • Jesus’ message is simple: COMPASSION • Compassion is implied in the two Great Commandments • Bethany Church has always shown compassion • You as individuals show compassion • A “ticket” into Heaven is compassion for other persons
