  2. Introduction • Agriculture • Wheat = the Righteous • Tares (weeds) = the sinners

  3. More Parable Points • Seeds = Jesus teachings • The enemy = Satan

  4. More Parable Points • Purpose of Angels defined: • Originally just brought the LORD’s message to people • Jesus added: • Angels take human prayers to God • Can influence nature • We must believe in angels • Can bring devastation

  5. More Parable Points • God allows evil to exist with good

  6. Culture • Weeds grow in fields • Farmers are careful to separate wheat seeds from weed seeds • Retaliation against other farmers was done by tossing weed seeds into their fields

  7. For us Today • One aspect not spoken about (the Treasure of this passage) • Retaliation is not acceptable • Love Neighbor means not taking revenge
