  3. continued • Before the judges means “in public” • “All my heart” means “in private” • “I will give you thanks in private and in public” • Worship is considered public then and now

  4. 2 I will bow down toward Your holy temple And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name. (Ps. 138:2 NAU) Continued next slide

  5. continued “Temple” – was any place that the “Ark” was “all your name” – God has several sacred names and titles (72 in Torah alone)

  8. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.
