Biblical Notes • Becoming like Jesus but not above Him (v. 24) • Preach from the housetops – people love gossip (v. 27) • Kill the soul – essence of life (v. 28) • To confess – practice Jesus ways (v. 32) • Sword (v. 34) – Jesus offered the Kingdom of Heaven – change causes strife • Verse 35 – Micah 7:6 – Jesus teachings will cause strife in families • Take up the cross – known expression meaning to take up the challenge to live like Jesus (v. 38) • Prophets reward – follow a prophet, receive blessings from God (v. 41) • Cup of Water – a small deed will receive big rewards
