  1. 6 Rationales of Why Companies Use Corporate Photography Corporate photography, though less glamorous, is quite an exciting field. This field, in fact, is arguably the most flushed with untapped opportunities for photographers. The pictures that we use for publicity make a powerful statement about the quality of our product — about who we are and what we are as a company. One of the best ways to do this is to have corporate photographers click outstanding images that portray the professionalism of your company. The most common types of photoshoots conducted for corporate photography are for professional portraits, office/environmental photos, headshots of company staff, corporate events, and images of products or services offered by the company. They are used on websites, brochures, stationery, advertising/marketing materials, annual reports, social media,

  2. etc. These images speak volumes to clients or investors about the staff and the perception of the company, and the brand image as well. What do Corporations Leverage Photography for? Corporate photography is a wide-ranging term that can encircle any photography done for the purpose of use by a company. However, to leverage photography, it is crucial for companies to choose one of the top corporate photographers to encase all agendas and messages one needs to display to an audience. Here is a list of some utilities that corporations can use photography for: ● Conferences and events Companies often have meetings and conferences. For the important meetings, they can often document the process and utilize the images in newsletters, on their website, or in follow-ups to attendees. ● Conventions and Trade Shows In Conventions and Trade shows, a group of firms in the same field or industry comes together to share information, knowledge, or products. Just like conferences and meetings, these provide another great opportunity for the use of photographs. There must be at least one photographer to document convention happenings that can be shared among participants.

  3. ● E-learning and training Many enterprises offer e-learning for their employees. To make it personalized and visually appealing, they can include company-branded photos and videos in the training material. ● Marketing and branding material This can be everything from images that feature the consumer experience of using the firm, to images that capture the company’s office culture — both to be used in profound ways. ● Corporate headshots Several companies display pictures of their employees on the website. It can show employee strength which ultimately highlights integrity and the personality of the company. Points to Consider When Hiring a Photographer ● Portfolio: With other fields of photography, a company may want to highlight its creativity and uniqueness. But when working on corporate photography, it’s more important to emphasize dependability, experience, and professionalism. So look for a photographer who has a portfolio of a few corporate photography projects done under his/her sleeves. ● Budget: Also, the process of giving a budget or contract is especially important when working with corporate photographers. Even if you don’t have an official contract involved when booking the guy, make sure that the terms are very precisely laid out, including the agreed-upon budget, date of delivery of images, the number of images included, and how images will be delivered.

  4. ● Turn-Around Time: Everyone appreciates a quick delivery of images, especially with social media in mind to post in. So make sure the photographer takes an extra step of offering a same-day delivery option for some of the images in order to stand out and impress your client from the start. To sum it up: Corporate photography should be used by companies, both large and small all across the world to promote their corporate brand and set the visual tone for their company identity. Great corporate images showcase the quality of services or products offered, and when executed properly help to promote the standards to which they attach to their daily-life business operations.
