Metamorphic Rock - Metamorphic rock is rock that has been changed by temperature, pressure, or reactions with hot water. - When subjected to intense heat and pressure within the Earth’s crust, sedimentary or igneous rock can be changed. - The rocks do not melt, but their crystalline structure is changed. - Classified as either foliated or non-foliated.
