  4. SELECTION CRITERIA

TERMS OF REFERENCE - 1 • 1 – Context • Volume of hours in the case of face-to-face learning • Positioning in the syllabuses of CNAM (discipline, certificates, …) • Number of students registered in face-to-face in 2000/2001 (eventually)- in the zone of activity of your component (CRA, departement,…)- in the national territory • Position of the mandatory establishment as regards your project • Existing resources, exploitable for the ODL project (ex. Digital documents already existing, other ODL resources created by your component, ODL resources produced by other components at CNAM having the potential to be re-exploited, …)

  6. TERMS OF REFERENCE - 2 2. Targets of the ODL Project • A few examples of targets : the development of the quality of the training (ex. allow for more individualized exchanges with the learners, in particular as concerns the validation of their credit hours and of their syllabus) the experimentation of the usefulness and efficiency of new technologies for both the learners and the instructors, reaching new audiences or the re-livening of a field of learning, the development of a training offer to be diffused on the entire CNAM network, the original response to a specific social demand, etc. • Origin and motivation of the demandfollowing a specific demand, or a survey, or from personnel,……….. • Potential number of students concerned by the project • Zone of diffusion envisaged - national (CNAM network , other establishments,…),- international…

  7. TERMS OF REFERENCE - 3 • 3. General planning of the project • identification of the phases (dates, duration of the phases, products per phase), • date of the launching of the first courses, • date of development on the network, • etc.

  8. TERMS OF REFERENCE- 4 • 4. Pedagogical elements as envisaged • 4.1. Pedagogical planning • First level of pedagogical planning : the ratio face-to-face/distanceThe need to identify the retained mode for the planning of ODL by detailing the respective times of training in face-to-face or distance, as well as the choices made for the combination of these durations. • Second level of pedagogical planning : the definition of pedagogical scenarios The need to elaborate the pedagogical scenarios specific to teaching which will be proposed for ODL. That includes the identification of a didactic progression, the combination of pedagogical activities and the definition of modalities for the follow-up and the distance coaching.N.B. To facilitate this work, you will find in addendum 3, a summary document on the definition of pedagogical scenarios in ODL. • Third level : validation as envisagedDetail the options: partial or complete validation through distance, validation through face-to-face (written work on the desk ) by precising the place of the examination, …

Pedagogical resources to be created • Type(document for the course, for the exercise, case study, subjects for project, …) • Format(printed documents, electronic pages ( HTML format, PDF, other …), electronic slides (audio or non), electronic Multiple Choice Question, other , …) • Carrier(s) of diffusion of these resources (Internet, CD-ROM, …) : • Support material (compulsory) : guide for the ODL student, guide for the tutor, …

  10. TERMS OF REFERENCE- 5 • 5. Human and material resources for the ODL project • 5.1. For designing the ODL(scenarios and pedagogical resources) • Human resources expressed in volume-time and in skills for the pedagogical resources and for coaching (detail the available resources or the needed additional ones : short duration contracts, sub-contracting ) • Software and specific material for production(detail the available resources or the needed additional ones ) • 5.2. For the carrying-out of the training • Pedagogical team(detail the modalities : tutorship, animation of groups at distance and in regroupings, correction of the homeworks • « Logistic" team of your component(for dispatching the documents, convocations, managing the calls, secretariate, ...).
