  1. MAMA-86 Protection Health Caring Education

  2. Who is MAMA-86? MAMA-86 began as a group of young mothers. They were concerned about the health risks on their children from the Chernobyl disaster. MAMA-86 believes that women are natural protectors of our future. The members are mostly women from different fields. These include community leaders and experts in biology, ecology, economics, and more.

  3. MAMA-86’s mission statement: I am a patriot. I want my country to flourish more every year. But I crave for an environmentally balanced development.

  4. What do they do? • MAMA-86 is a collection of different organizations through out Ukraine which work to protect and educate about the environment. • MAMA-86 also fights to improve environmental policies in the Ukrainian government. • GOALS • 1. To strengthen the role of mothers in the education of society. • 2. To include mothers in decision-making to improve living standards in Ukraine.

  7. The project works topromote an environmentally healthy lifestyle among citizens. They work to explain technologies that can be used by in people’s everyday lives and in their homes that will protect the environment. This project specializes in technologies that save energy.

  8. The goal of this project is to eliminate pesticides that have been proven harmful to people’s health. The project has gone to schools in the Kyiv region and taught classes about dangerous chemicals in Ukraine. Elimination of Risks from Pesticides
