  2. Course Background • Three credit hour course in Biology • First and second year undergraduate students • Taught live through interactive video • Seven campus sites throughout the state • Another section entirely online using open source technology (Oncourse Course Management System)

Advantages • Melete Tool provides overall course structure into modules • Resources Tool provides an area to organize extra course content • Assignments Tool provides an organized private submission area with direct access to the gradebook • Forum Tool provides an organized open class submission area for students, instructor and guest experts to collaborate and provides direct access to gradebook

  4. Wish List • Improved Gradebook • Improved Testing Tool • Friendly Suggestions or Lessons Learned • Implement a Faculty Priorities Committee • Begin Faculty/Technology Collaboration Early
