How the heart works The heart has four parts to it. The right atrium and the left atrium the right ventricle and the left ventricle. When the heart beats the right atrium and the left atrium expand so blood pours in, then it contracts, (squeezes) and the blood goes into the ventricles. The ventricles contract forcing the blood to go out of the heart.
HOLE IN THE HEART DISEASE When you a foetus you have a hole in your heart and sometimes it doesn’t heal over when you get born this is called hole in the heart disease. The hole is in the septum.
