  3. What is uncertainty • Indefinite • Indeterminate • Not reliable • Not know beyond doubt • Not clearly identified or defined • Not constant

  4. Situation of Uncertainty • College Major • Exams • Career • Getting Married • Buying a ring • Kids • Bills • Fear of tomorrow

  5. Common ways handling uncertainty • Extremes • Internalize • Worry • Seclusion • Results: Drained, Exhausted, Loose Hope, No solution • Externalize • Obsessive • Over analyze every detail • Moody • Results: Self Centered, Self Reliant, Wore out

  6. Opportunity • Being able to have the vision and faith to move forward towards something that to our five senses seems impossible is a skill that anyone seeking an exceptional life quality needs. • If you can only achieve what you already know, then personal growth would be impossible.

  7. Faith • Faith is the parachute, but it will not open until you make that leap. Most will never make that leap because they need to know the parachute will open before jumping.

  8. How does God want us to handle uncertainty • Our future is to look forward to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of the prophecies concerning His Kingdom.  • Other than this, the Lord Jesus Christ should be the center of our lives today and in the present in which we live. If we live in His Will He will take care of our future.

  9. God know the future • And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. – Hebrews 4:13

  10. God has a plan • In the Holy Book of Jeremiah 29:11 we are given a reference to future anticipation given by the Lord Himself. • For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11

  11. God will be with me every step of the way • Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. - Proverbs 3:5-6 • I sought the Lord and He Heard me, And delivered me from my fears. - Psalms 34:4

  12. Trust God to support me when I am overwhelmed • Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. • Isaiah 43:1-2

  13. Example of Gideon • Judges 6 • “and fire rose out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread.” • Gideon Destroys the Altar of Baal • Sign of the Fleece • Judges 7

  14. Use your gift • Doing your part by using your mind • For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it • lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? • Luke 14:28-30

  15. Conclusion • We are specifically told in the Holy Gospel of St. Matthew • "So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today" - Matthew 6:34
