  1. Fuser Oil Replacement Instructions for replacing the fuser oil cartridge for your Ricoh 2232 / 2238 (takes about 5 minutes) Click your mouse or press your “Down Arrow” key to advance

  2. 2 On Ricoh Model numbers 2232 / 2238 the fuser oil cartridge needs to be replaced approximately every 18,000 to 20,000 copies. Order and keep a spare replacement from CPO and keep it in your area for use when needed. Carefully grasp the finisher at the top and move it away from the main unit. Follow the next steps as illustrated in photos here, opening doors, sliding drawer out, and exposing the fuser oil unit. 3

  4. HOT! CAUTION! Parts in this area are HOT. Take care not to burn yourself.Press the button to release the bar latched over the fuser oil unit. 7

  5. Remove the old fuser oil unit and dispose of it in the plastic bag provided with the new unit. Carefully remove the protective tape seals (not shown here) on the new fuser oil unit and insert it as shown here and on the following photos. 8 9

  6. (New unit inserted in drawer) Re-latch the bar over the new fuser oil unit. Slide drawer back, taking care to make sure it latches tightly. 10 11 12

  8. After all doors on the main copier have been closed and latched, carefully push the finisher back into place. You should hear the copier resetting itself. Within a few seconds the machine will be ready for use. 15
