  10. Sleep / Behaviour • Sleep - get a good nights sleep - no staying up late and then feeling knackered in morning - this tour is physically tough and off field prep will be key • In hotels - do not keep going from room to room, opening doors, being noisy, hanging about in corridors – avoid disturbing other guests in the hotel • Remember you are representing Surrey and behaviour has to mirror the standards we set. When in hotel always wear something on feet / a top etc when walking around. surreycricket.com

  11. Nutrition / Hydration • Breakfast key each day / ensure you are down ready to have proper breakfast that ticks off key areas of nutrition e.g. Leave at 8.30am - up at 7.45 with kit / breakfast & ready to go for 8.15am. Give yourself time if need something or have forgotten something • Hydration - vital to ensure we are not sick or ill. Heat & humidity will be tough especially when temps reach 80 plus. Long days equate to hydration levels being checked and kept to good levels. Check urine for guidelines / if clear then ok - if discoloured then not. • Have water bottle with you at all times and re-fill (with bottled water) regularly surreycricket.com

  12. Injury / Illness / Hygiene • It is very important that you communicate any injuries or illnesses to us as soon as they occur e.g. night before (if applicable) not on morning of game 5 minutes before the start! • Physio support will be provided at various points during the tour • Sun cream is very important so please ensure you bring plenty with you • Please bring travel wash with you so you can wash your kit in your rooms (cheaper than hotel!) surreycricket.com

  13. Match Days (1) • You will have duties in morning - Eskie / water / kit bag / medical bag plus your own kit. Work with your room mate in ensuring all goes smoothly and all necessary kit arrives at the ground! • You will have specific clothing / uniform to wear on all match days. Make sure it is washed and ready • The match day bus time given to you will be the time the bus will LEAVE. Ensure you are there in plenty of time to load the bus so we leave on time surreycricket.com

  14. Match Days (2) • Once at the ground, be alert and efficient in getting into the changing room and out onto the pitch ready to warm up • No phones/ipods • No money needed • Remember you are a guest at someone else’s ground – be respectful and polite – leave changing room and facilities as you found it • Rotation of players is a natural part of touring – players will be rested as deemed appropriate • Those not playing will have duties – scoring; drinks etc – this is a very important role – take pride in helping team surreycricket.com
