  6. Lessons Learned from Round 1 • Understanding & fitting into the organization is the hardest part • especially in the first few months • It takes time to grow digital stewardship concepts • Hosts are busy – set the schedule ASAP • Jumpstart the 20% time and professional development planning

New in Round 2 • Immersion month • Immersion week focus on organizational issues, project management • Digital stewardship concepts, tools, etc. spread out over the residency (with public webinars) • More host involvement • Focus on NDSR network • Host and resident alumni • Public schedule • Collaboration with other NDSR programs • Integrated development plans + progress reports
